As a native Mainer and avid concertgoer with over a decade of video editing and motion design expertise under his belt and nearly 8 years of agency experience spanning from one U.S. coast to the other, these days Owen fancies himself a “Swiss-Army knife” of post-production with a versatile skillset that's as diverse as his record collection.

Attending the New England School of Communications in Bangor, ME from 2012 to 2016, Owen garnered experience and education in all facets of video production spanning cinematography, lighting, live TV, and post-production. Developing a particular affinity for video editing and motion design work, he began shifting his career focus to center around the two: interning off-campus for the Maine Media Workshops and on PBS shows for Lone Wolf Productions. Following his graduation, he made the move down to Boston, Massachusetts where he began dipping his toes into the video industry as a freelance production assistant for commercial video shoots across New England.

Shortly thereafter, Owen was picked up by Connelly Partners – his first ad agency stationed out of Boston, MA, where he would spend the next five years carving his teeth on video editing and animation work for clients including Titleist, Samsonite, Gorton’s Fish, and Four Seasons. In early 2022, he stepped down from his post as the agency’s Senior Video Editor and made a move to the Pacific Northwest – settling in Seattle where he was hired full-time by Wunderman Thompson Health. There he continued his post-production work with major healthcare clients before his transfer to Wunderman Thompson a year later, where he began lending his talents to a new roster of general advertising clientele. In 2024, following the merger of Wunderman Thompson and VMLY&R into VML, Owen continues to retain his post as one of the team’s many accomplished video editors and motion designers simultaneously.

With his fingerprints left on more than 60 clients in his career thus far, regardless of how big or small a project is or what your definition of “ASAP” may be, Owen is your one-man solve for churning out any advanced video editing work that requires some additional VFX love on the side – even if you didn’t realize you needed it.
